It is most tragic that so many educators, apparently intelligent, allow themselves to be indoctrinated by a blind and uncritical acceptance of superficial criticism of traditional education and, as a result, unthinkingly reject some of its greatest values and lay themselves open to the serious attacks that are being launched agasinst education today. The educator must be extremely careful in examining the theories and paractices that abound in current educational literature. It is of the utmost importance to distinguish between genuine science and what is often proposed in the name of science.
